Curro Holdings is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Remote Primary School Teacher to join our innovative online learning platform, Curro Online. You will be responsible for a full spectrum of teaching duties, including lesson planning, virtual instruction, assessment, and consistent communication with students and parents. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging online lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the CAPS curriculum for primary school grades (R-7).
- Deliver synchronous and asynchronous virtual instruction, ensuring active student participation and comprehension.
- Utilize various digital learning tools and platforms to create an interactive and stimulating online classroom environment.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and online quizzes, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress, behavior, and support needs.
- Monitor student attendance and engagement in online learning activities, implementing strategies to ensure participation.
- Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development sessions, and online parent-teacher conferences.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students in a remote setting.
- Ensure a safe and respectful virtual learning environment, adhering to online safeguarding policies.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the online curriculum and digital resources.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent qualification (e.g., PGCE) with SACE registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a primary school setting (Grades R-7).
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and various educational technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity for independent work.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and interactive online learning experiences.
- Familiarity with the South African National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS).
Preferred Qualifications
