Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance websites and web applications using modern web technologies.
- Implement and optimize user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) to enhance visitor engagement and conversion rates, especially for booking and information retrieval.
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs and services, including online booking systems, payment gateways, and CRM tools relevant to tourism operations.
- Ensure website functionality, security, and scalability, performing regular updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with marketing, content creators, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and creative concepts into technical solutions.
- Optimize websites for search engines (SEO) and mobile devices to maximize reach and accessibility for our target audience.
- Stay abreast of emerging web technologies, industry best practices, and trends in digital tourism to continually improve our online platforms.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
- Demonstrable experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating them into web applications.
- Familiarity with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and server-side scripting (e.g., PHP, Node.js, Python).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
