EOH is seeking an experienced and passionate Training & Development Specialist to join our human capital team in a hybrid capacity, based out of our Midrand office in Gauteng. This critical role is designed to enhance the capabilities and career trajectories of our diverse workforce through strategic learning initiatives. You will be instrumental in identifying training needs, designing engaging and effective learning programs, delivering impactful workshops, and evaluating the overall effectiveness of our training investments. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments across various departments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning programs, materials, and resources using modern instructional design principles (e.g., e-learning modules, workshops, blended learning solutions).
- Facilitate dynamic training sessions, both in-person at our Midrand office and virtually, for diverse employee groups, ensuring high levels of participation and knowledge retention.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs), making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is up-to-date, accessible, and user-friendly.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals and industry trends.
- Stay abreast of best practices in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies into our training strategies.
- Provide coaching and support to employees and managers on professional development plans and learning pathways.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in training needs analysis, instructional design, and program development.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and e-learning authoring tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories and methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
