Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor remote production strategies to achieve operational excellence, cost efficiency, and quality targets across multiple sites or automated lines.
- Utilize advanced remote monitoring systems, IoT data, and ERP dashboards to track real-time production performance, identify bottlenecks, and initiate corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of on-site supervisors and production specialists through virtual meetings and digital communication tools, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Formulate and manage production budgets, control expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost reduction through process optimization and resource allocation.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance from a remote oversight perspective.
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and sales teams to optimize material flow, production scheduling, and product delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies remotely to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare comprehensive production reports and present performance analysis to senior management, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the successful implementation of new technologies and digital tools to enhance remote production capabilities and foster a culture of innovation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in production management, with at least 2 years in a multi-site or remote oversight capacity.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for performance monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective remote team management and cross-functional collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and quality management systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, remote, and technologically advanced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- PMP or other project management certification.
