Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire music production process from conception to final mix and master.
- Collaborate with artists to develop their musical vision, provide creative direction, and arrange compositions.
- Oversee recording sessions, ensuring optimal vocal and instrument performances.
- Operate and troubleshoot studio equipment, including DAWs, mixing consoles, microphones, and outboard gear.
- Mix and master tracks to professional industry standards, ensuring sonic clarity, balance, and impact.
- Scout and develop new talent, contributing to the A&R process.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Maintain and organize studio equipment and digital assets.
- Stay current with industry trends, production techniques, and music technology.
- Mentor junior producers and engineers as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
- Expertise in audio mixing, mastering, sound design, and arrangement.
- Deep understanding of music theory, composition, and song structure.
- Strong knowledge of reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean music genres.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
