You will be responsible for curating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing stall, showcasing an exquisite array of locally made crafts – from intricate wood carvings, vibrant textiles, and unique jewelry to natural beauty products and delicious gourmet food items. Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage with customers, offering exceptional service and comprehensive product knowledge about Jamaican crafts.
- Present and sell a wide range of Jamaican-made craft items, explaining their origins, cultural significance, and craftsmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing vendor stall, ensuring products are displayed attractively and priced correctly.
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and foreign currency exchange.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock products as needed, and report any discrepancies, popular items, or stock shortages to management.
- Educate customers on the uniqueness and value of handcrafted items, fostering appreciation for local artisans and their work.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling market stalls, ensuring all equipment and products are handled with care and efficiency.
- Build positive relationships with customers, encouraging repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
- Provide constructive feedback to management on customer preferences, popular items, market trends, and product suggestions.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, market regulations, and health and safety standards to ensure a safe and professional environment.
Required Skills
- Proven customer service and sales experience, preferably in a retail or market setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers effectively.

- Basic mathematical proficiency and experience with cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
