In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the ideation, development, and launch of our next-generation financial products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Define, own, and execute the product roadmap for Finetech's Fintech offerings, aligning with company vision and strategic objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer needs assessment to identify opportunities and validate product concepts.
- Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on strategic impact, technical feasibility, and market demand.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality of products.
- Lead product launches, coordinating with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure successful market introduction and adoption.
- Monitor product performance using key metrics, analyze user feedback, and iterate on products to drive continuous improvement and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries, both internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the Fintech space.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focused on Fintech products.
- Proven ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, and successfully launch new products.
- Strong understanding of financial services, payment systems, digital banking, or related Fintech domains.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English; Kinyarwanda is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced technology environment in Africa.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for financial services in Rwanda or East Africa.
- Experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
- Certification in Product Management (e.g., CSPO, PMC).
