Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and potential incidents using SIEM and other security tools.
- Conduct initial analysis and triage of security incidents, escalating to senior analysts or incident response teams as necessary.
- Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning, assessment, and reporting on identified vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to threat intelligence gathering and analysis to anticipate and mitigate emerging cyber risks.
- Support security audits and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with IT operations, network engineering, and development teams to implement robust security controls and best practices.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts comprehensively and accurately.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, vulnerabilities, and defense technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a cybersecurity role, ideally within a large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, application security, and data security.
- Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, IBM QRadar).
- Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, anti-malware solutions, and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware types, and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and pattern recognition.
