Key Responsibilities
- Research, investigate, and pitch compelling news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with a diverse range of sources, including officials, experts, and community members.
- Write accurate, concise, and engaging scripts for television, radio, and online news reports.
- Present news segments live on-air or pre-recorded from the studio or on location.
- Generate creative story ideas and develop contacts to secure exclusive content.
- Collaborate closely with producers, editors, camera crew, and graphic designers to produce high-quality news packages.
- Operate broadcast equipment effectively and contribute to technical aspects of production.
- Undertake field reporting assignments, often in challenging environments and under tight deadlines.
- Contribute multimedia content (videos, photos, articles) for digital platforms and social media.
- Adhere strictly to journalistic ethics, media law, and Abu Dhabi Media's editorial guidelines.
- Stay informed on current affairs, public policies, and societal trends in the UAE and globally.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Broadcast Journalist or Reporter.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong news judgment, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of current affairs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform live on-air and conduct professional interviews.
- Proficiency in video and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
- Strong understanding of media ethics and legal considerations in broadcasting.
- Experience with digital content creation and social media for news dissemination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Journalism or a related discipline.
