Job Description
FedEx is seeking experienced drivers to join our growing team in Memphis, TN. As an Experienced Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of FedEx vehicles, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages and freight. This is a full-time position requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe driving, possess a clean driving record, and be committed to adhering to all company safety regulations. This is an on-site position based out of our Memphis distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various FedEx vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Accurately load and unload packages and freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Follow established routes and delivery schedules.
- Interact professionally with customers and maintain excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with minimal violations.
- Experience operating large commercial vehicles (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledge of local and interstate driving regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 75 pounds).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
