Job Description
LBC Express is seeking highly motivated and experienced Professional Drivers to join our growing team. As a vital part of our logistics and delivery operations, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of parcels, documents, and cargo across Metro Manila and potentially other regions. You will operate company vehicles, ranging from vans to light trucks, ensuring that all deliveries and pickups are completed accurately and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, light trucks) for the delivery and pickup of parcels, documents, and cargo across assigned routes.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments, prioritizing urgent deliveries.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring proper handling, scanning, and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify shipment details, collect signatures, and handle cash-on-delivery (COD) transactions accurately when required, ensuring proper reconciliation.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and lights, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly to the appropriate department.
- Maintain cleanliness and good operational condition of assigned company vehicles at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations, including defensive driving practices.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, addressing inquiries professionally and courteously, and resolving minor issues on site.
- Complete and submit all necessary delivery manifests, reports, and documentation accurately and on time, utilizing provided technology solutions.
- Assist with warehouse operations, sorting, and other logistics tasks as needed during non-driving periods or when required by management.
- Handle unexpected situations or delays professionally, communicating effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates and find solutions.
Required Skills
- Valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction Codes 1, 2, 3, or higher preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in delivery or logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of Metro Manila routes, traffic regulations, and alternative routes.
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles proficiently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic vehicle troubleshooting and routine maintenance knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- High level of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
- Familiarity with various types of delivery vehicles (e.g., motorcycles, multicabs, 4-wheel trucks).
- Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local customs and delivery protocols in different areas.
- High school diploma or vocational course completion related to automotive or logistics.
