Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous security monitoring, threat detection, and in-depth analysis of security events from various sources (SIEM, EDR, network logs, cloud logs).
- Lead and execute comprehensive incident response procedures, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and thorough post-mortem analysis.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security configuration reviews on Adyen's infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments, providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Administer, configure, and optimize a suite of security tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and cloud security controls.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and strict enforcement of security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to seamlessly integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and infrastructure deployments.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, defensive techniques, and emerging technologies, actively participating in knowledge sharing and ongoing training.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical security incidents to ensure 24/7 coverage and rapid response.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Cybersecurity Analyst, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, or similar security role.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic SIEM, Exabeam) for log analysis, alert generation, and threat hunting.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), operating systems (Linux/Windows), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Demonstrated experience with incident response methodologies, digital forensics, and threat intelligence.
- Solid knowledge of common attack techniques, malware analysis, vulnerability management processes, and risk assessment principles.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation, data analysis, and tool development.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Relevant industry security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, OSCP).
- Prior experience working within the FinTech industry or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Experience participating in red team/blue team exercises or security awareness programs.
