Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust workforce demand forecasts based on business strategy, operational plans, and market trends.
- Analyze current workforce capabilities, identify potential skill gaps, and propose strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
- Utilize advanced statistical and analytical techniques to model staffing scenarios and assess their impact on costs and productivity.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations on workforce metrics, trends, and projections for senior management.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and departmental heads to understand staffing needs, operational changes, and business priorities.
- Support the annual budgeting and planning cycles by providing accurate workforce data and insights.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of workforce planning tools, systems, and processes.
- Monitor and report on key workforce indicators, ensuring alignment with HR and business objectives.
- Participate in special projects related to organizational design, efficiency improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and internal policies in workforce planning activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in workforce planning, HR analytics, business analysis, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical modeling and data visualization.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, VBA).
- Experience with HRIS and workforce management systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate findings to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Certification in Workforce Planning, HR Analytics, or Project Management.
- Experience working in the banking or financial services industry in Mozambique.
