Job Description
As the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager at Aboitiz Equity Ventures, you will be a pivotal leader in shaping and executing our comprehensive sustainability agenda across various business units. This role is designed for a visionary and results-oriented professional who is passionate about creating lasting positive impact in communities and driving ethical business practices. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring robust CSR programs aligned with the Aboitiz Group’s strategic objectives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our CSR initiatives are impactful, measurable, and seamlessly integrated into our operations, covering critical areas such as environmental sustainability, climate action, community development, education, livelihood generation, employee volunteering, and ethical supply chain management. This position requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders across our diverse sectors—from energy and infrastructure to banking and food—as well as external partners, non-governmental organizations, local government units, and other community groups. You will play a key role in communicating our CSR efforts and successes to stakeholders, enhancing our corporate reputation, and fostering a deep-rooted culture of sustainability and social responsibility within the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive CSR strategies and programs in alignment with AEV's vision and UN SDGs.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of community development, environmental protection, and social impact initiatives.
- Collaborate with business units to integrate CSR principles and practices into their core operations and decision-making processes.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including NGOs, government agencies, community leaders, and industry partners.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and impact of CSR programs, utilizing relevant metrics and frameworks.
- Prepare annual CSR reports, sustainability disclosures, and other communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Manage the CSR budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify emerging trends and best practices in CSR and sustainability to continuously enhance AEV's programs.
- Organize and facilitate employee volunteer programs and initiatives to foster a culture of social responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with relevant local and international CSR standards and regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in developing and managing CSR or sustainability programs.
- Strong understanding of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other global sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Sustainable Development, Environmental Management, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in a large conglomerate or a diversified industry environment.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB).
- Certification in CSR or Sustainability Management.
- Proficiency in Filipino language (written and spoken).
