Job Description

As a Sustainability Reporting Analyst at Tesco, you’ll be pivotal in shaping our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures. Your primary responsibility will be collecting, analyzing, and interpreting diverse sustainability data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards and regulatory requirements. This role transforms raw data into meaningful insights, informing strategic decisions and communicating our progress to stakeholders like investors, customers, and employees. You will significantly contribute to producing our annual sustainability reports, CDP submissions, TCFD disclosures, and other key ESG communications, helping Tesco transparently demonstrate its commitment to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and manage critical sustainability data across various environmental and social metrics.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of datasets to identify trends and measure performance against targets.
  • Support the comprehensive drafting and production of Tesco's annual Sustainability Report, CDP, TCFD, and other vital ESG disclosures.
  • Ensure robust reporting accuracy and strict adherence to international frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and evolving regulatory mandates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to streamline data collection and insight generation.

Required Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG data analysis, or a closely related analytical role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including advanced Excel and experience with data visualization.
  • Solid understanding of major sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD) and ESG regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Analytics, or a quantitative field.
  • Direct experience with ESG data management software and knowledge of the retail sector's sustainability landscape.
