As a Telemedicine Solutions Architect at Doctolib, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical landscape of our cutting-edge telemedicine platforms. You will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and evolving the architectural frameworks that underpin our teleconsultation, remote monitoring, and digital patient engagement solutions. This position demands a deep understanding of scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native architectures, particularly within the sensitive domain of healthcare data. You will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, security experts, and clinical stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performing technical designs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and evolution of Doctolib's telemedicine products and platforms.
- Translate product vision and complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to optimize system performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Define API strategies, data models, and integration patterns for seamless connectivity with internal and external systems.
- Ensure all architectural designs adhere to stringent healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HDS) and security best practices.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to guide implementation, conduct comprehensive code reviews, and provide technical mentorship.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, anticipating future challenges and proposing proactive, innovative solutions.
- Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies and assessing their potential application within Doctolib's ecosystem.
- Document architectural decisions, technical specifications, and system designs clearly and comprehensively for various audiences.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, presenting complex solutions and strategies to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions.
- Proven experience designing and implementing highly scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Strong expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), with certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Java, Go, Scala) and associated ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and API design principles (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing).
- Solid grasp of security best practices, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and compliance in sensitive industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience within the healthcare or telemedicine industry, understanding clinical workflows and specific regulatory challenges (e.g., HDS certification in France).
