Job Description
Kakao Corp. is seeking a passionate and experienced Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Advisor to champion our commitment to building an equitable and inclusive workplace. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping, implementing, and evaluating D&I strategies across all levels of our organization. As an Advisor, you will work collaboratively with HR, senior leadership, and various departments to embed D&I principles into our policies, practices, and culture. Your expertise will guide us in fostering an environment where every Krew member feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of diversity metrics, bias mitigation, and cultural competency development. You will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement, developing impactful initiatives, and measuring their success. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive D&I strategies, policies, and programs aligned with Kakao's values and business objectives.
- Advise HR and leadership on best practices for D&I in recruitment, retention, promotion, and talent development.
- Design and deliver D&I training and educational workshops for all Krew members, from entry-level to executive leadership.
- Conduct D&I-focused data analysis, including surveys, focus groups, and internal audits, to identify gaps and measure impact.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for employee resource groups (ERGs) and other D&I-focused initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote Kakao's D&I commitments and achievements.
- Stay abreast of D&I trends, legislation, and best practices to ensure Kakao remains a leader in workplace inclusion.
- Support the development of communication strategies that celebrate diversity and foster an inclusive culture.
- Manage D&I-related projects, including budget and resource allocation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion role, or a related HR function with a strong D&I focus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of D&I best practices, theories, and emerging trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to D&I.
- Ability to design and facilitate effective training programs and workshops.
- Proficiency in English and Korean (written and verbal) is essential for effective communication across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or relevant certification in Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources, or Organizational Development.
- Experience working in the technology or internet services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing D&I initiatives in a complex, global organization.
- Familiarity with Korean labor laws and cultural nuances related to workplace diversity.
