Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications for institutional donors, trusts, foundations, and other major funders.
- Lead the proposal development process, including coordinating input from programme, finance, technical, and in-country teams to ensure comprehensive and coherent submissions.
- Conduct thorough research on prospective funders and tailor proposals to align with their strategic priorities and funding guidelines.
- Manage donor reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of progress reports, financial updates, and final impact reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Save the Children's programmatic work, strategic priorities, and key outcomes to effectively articulate impact.
- Work collaboratively with fundraising, programme, and advocacy teams to identify funding opportunities and develop compelling narratives.
- Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies and donor engagement plans.
- Ensure all proposals and reports adhere to internal quality standards and donor compliance regulations.
- Act as a key point of contact for donor inquiries relating to proposals and reports.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in successful grant writing and proposal development, preferably within the non-profit or international development sector.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives.
- Strong research and analytical skills, capable of synthesizing complex information into compelling donor-friendly content.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities, with experience managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Understanding of the international development and humanitarian context.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working with major institutional donors (e.g., FCDO, EU, UN agencies, USAID) or large foundations.
- Knowledge of child rights and protection issues.
- Proficiency in a second language, particularly French, Arabic, or Spanish.
- Experience with fundraising databases (e.g., Salesforce).
