Job Description

PwC Australia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Capital Development Officer to join our dynamic People & Culture team in Sydney. This pivotal role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating strategic learning and development initiatives that align with our firm’s objectives and foster the continuous growth of our talent. You will play a critical part in nurturing a high-performance culture by identifying skill gaps, developing innovative training programs, and supporting our employees’ career progression. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on program management, and excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify critical skill gaps and development areas across various business units and departments.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs, workshops, and comprehensive training materials, utilizing a blended learning approach (e.g., e-learning modules, in-person sessions, virtual classrooms).
  • Manage the full lifecycle of talent development initiatives, from initial conceptualization and curriculum design to robust implementation and meticulous post-program evaluation.
  • Collaborate strategically with business leaders and HR partners to seamlessly integrate talent development strategies with overall business objectives and enhance existing performance management processes.
  • Facilitate impactful employee onboarding experiences, leadership development programs, and professional skills training sessions.
  • Research and recommend innovative learning technologies, cutting-edge tools, and modern methodologies to continuously enhance and optimize our development offerings.
  • Track and meticulously report on the effectiveness and impact of learning programs using relevant metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Support the entire performance management cycle, including facilitating effective goal setting, establishing robust feedback mechanisms, and guiding employees through career pathing discussions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all training activities, participation, and individual employee development plans.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and new research in human capital development, organizational learning, and talent management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Human Capital Development, Learning & Development, or Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering impactful training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess program effectiveness and inform decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in HR or Learning & Development (e.g., AHRI, SHRM, ATD).
  • Experience working within a large professional services firm or a complex corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with contemporary e-learning tools and instructional design principles.
  • Experience with talent management software and performance appraisal systems.
